Run by the Birkbeck Institute for the Humanities, the two-week London Critical Theory Summer School enables graduate students and academics to engage with acclaimed critical thinkers. The School combines critical theoretical thought with the political urgency of the current times. Applicants should be currently carrying out, or have carried out, graduate research.

British Film Institute (BFI) and Ravensbourne University London Summer Film School

This two-week summer course sees participants get involved in all aspects of creating a short film from script to screen. Covering storyboard creation, sound and effect editing, camera work, directing actors, producing and pitching films, students will lead across the piece. Taught by BFI and Ravensbourne industry professionals, the course includes additional masterclasses from award-winning industry specialists.
