Course Introduction

UCL and Moorfields Eye Hospital have developed a new degree apprenticeship programme to meet the growing global demand for ophthalmic care. As a degree apprenticeship, the programme is delivered in conjunction with eligible UK employers.

This exciting new master's degree apprenticeship programme has been developed by practising clinicians and will allow you to develop an understanding of clinical care in the context of the latest ophthalmic research and treatments. Teaching faculty will include a dynamic group of clinical experts and world-renowned researchers in the field.

The programme is aimed primarily at non-medical professionals seeking formal postgraduate training in advanced clinical practice in ophthalmology.

Qualifications required:

  • Domestic entry requirements: An upper second-class UK BSc (Hons) in Optometry, Orthoptics or Nursing. Applicants with other non-medical professional qualifications and work experience will also be considered on an individual basis. Applicants must apply in conjunction with their employer.
