Course Introduction

This course enables students who have previously completed a foundation degree, an HND or two years of higher education in business or management to ‘top up’ to an honours degree. It will develop your knowledge of the broad areas of business and management with a particular focus on human resource management.

You will learn how to develop and manage businesses and individuals, taking into account emerging issues such as sustainability, financial crisis and technological innovation. You will also have the opportunity to work with business professionals and/or local communities on live projects to gain valuable practical experience.

Opportunities are available with a specialist personnel and human resource management focus in general management within retail, consultancy, small to medium enterprises and business start-ups.

Strategy for Managers (15 credits)

Personal and Professional Practice 3 (SMS)

Employee Relations and Rewards L6 (30 credits)
