Course Introduction

MA Digital Arts degree seeks to prepare students for engagement with increasingly dynamic digital and creative arts sectors, and to facilitate creative projects that foreground the importance of practice-based research, expertise and experimentation. It is designed for those looking to further cultivate their creative skills and develop their personal specialism through exploring a diverse range of art practices. Our aim is to provide you with skills that are highly valued in a global economy where boundaries between creativity and technology are increasingly fluid. So you'll be ready to enter a wide range of creative businesses and organisations already working with leading-edge digital technologies.

The main feature of our approach to teaching and learning is project work, requiring practice-based research, expertise and experimentation. You will be assessed through a combination of verbal presentations, written reports, portfolio work and your final Major Project piece that will be presented in a public exhibition at the end of the year.
