Course Introduction

This course provides a solid grounding in digital media production with an emphasis on creativity and innovation. You can choose to study the core degree or take a specialist endorsement: Web Applications.

Modules include Programming for Games and Digital Media, 3D Modelling, and Digital Media Production. Throughout your studies, you will develop skills in visual design, storytelling, cinematography with games and digital media, animation, interface design, and product development.

As well as gaining a sound knowledge of computing, digital technologies, virtual reality and programming, you will learn professional HTML5 and JavaScript coding and animation, as well as games engines and C# scripting. You will use Photoshop and InDesign to learn about print and web design, and Unity and 3ds Max to design games and other interactive media tools.

Graduates from this degree can pursue a variety of areas in design and development in sectors, such as real-time 3D applications and experiences, mobile apps, and social media. If you take the web and applications endorsement, you can pursue a variety of roles in web design, development, user experience.
