Course Summary

Our MSc Civil Engineering degree will develop your engineering expertise in line with the ever-changing demands of the profession. Our MSc Engineering courses enjoy widespread professional recognition and are accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM) of the Institutions of Civil, Structural, and Highways and Transportation Engineers. This course is also available as a two year master's with an industrial placement year.

Qualifications required:

  • Domestic entry requirements: Students need 2:2 BEng Honours or 2:1 BSc Honours in Civil Engineering. They are normally expected to have Grade C in GCSE English and Maths.
  • International entry requirements: Students need 2:2 BEng Honours or 2:1 BSc Honours in Civil Engineering. They are normally expected to have Grade C in GCSE English and Maths. Students should have an overall IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in Writing and Speaking; minimum 5.5 in Reading and Listening (or recognised equivalent).
