Course Introduction

The Biomedical, Biomechanics and Bioelectronics Engineering MSc degree focuses on advancing and updating your knowledge in biomechanics, biofluid mechanics and bioelectronics. You will also receive a dynamic learning experience as you delve into medical imaging technology and artificial intelligence in image processing as part of this unique postgraduate engineering programme. The aim of this specialist course is to create master?s qualified biomedical engineers who can help in the design, development, operation and research of complex medical devices for the modern biomedical and healthcare industry. Some of our graduates have taken on roles such as R&D engineer, biomedical specialist in intensive care monitoring and ventilation, product safety associate and engineer laboratory technician. Qualifications required:

  • Domestic entry requirements: Applicants need to have a 2:2 (or above) UK Honours degree, or equivalent internationally recognised qualification, in an engineering; appropriate science or technology subject. Other qualifications and relevant experience will be assessed on an individual basis.
  • International entry requirements: Applicants need to have an IELTS: 6 (min 5.5 in all areas); Pearson: 51 (51 in all subscores); BrunELT: 60% (min 55% in all areas).
