Course Introduction

This course provides excellent training in many different areas of applied mathematics and equips students with a range of mathematical skills in problem solving, project work and presentation. Our MSc in Applied Mathematics is delivered in small classes and offers a variety of optional modules. You complete a substantial research project, which in the past have often led to publication in scientific journals. The skills you gain from this programme are highly transferable and open up opportunities for a career in industry, such as in the aerospace, petroleum and financial industries. Qualifications required:

  • Domestic entry requirements: Students need to have a minimum requirement of 2.1 degree in mathematics, applied mathematics, engineering or physics.
  • International entry requirements: Students must achieve the College requirement in the appropriate English language qualification: Standard IELTS 6.5 overall (minimum 6.0 in all elements); Higher 7.0 overall (minimum 6.5 in all elements).
