Course Introduction

This course is suitable for applicants with an engineering background who have a particular interest in aircraft technologies. Air travel is vital for the continued prosperity of the economy, and is predicted to grow significantly over the next 20 years. The challenge facing aviation is to meet the predicted growth in demand in a way that ensures that the environment is protected. This MSc programme provides modules on the fundamental disciplines that are of prime importance for developing new enabling technologies vital to the design of more environmentally friendly future aircraft. It also offers multi-disciplinary training in aircraft technologies for reducing environmental impact and life-cycle costs. Qualifications required:

  • Domestic entry requirements: Students should have a minimum requirement of 2.1 degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, with some experience of fluid and structural dynamics..
  • International entry requirements: Students must achieve the College requirement in the appropriate English language qualification: Standard IELTS 6.5 overall (minimum 6.0 in all elements); Higher 7.0 overall (minimum 6.5 in all elements).
