Birkbeck, University of London

Course Introduction

The programme will give you a deep understanding of the importance of innovation for rethinking a range of ideas, issues and structures within management, including business strategy, corporate assets, intellectual property rights, institutions, organisations and firms, entrepreneurship, and globalisation in a changing world. You will develop topical, focused and practical insights into the fundamentals of business innovation, including the technological aspects and associated business models and working patterns.

Assessment is an integral part of your university studies and usually consists of a combination of coursework and examinations, although this will vary from course to course - on some of our courses, assessment is entirely by coursework. You will need to allow time to complete coursework and prepare for exams.

Graduates go in to careers in the creative industries, media businesses, and other, non-media-related, industries. Possible professions include arts administrator, multimedia specialist, or advertising account executive. This degree may also be useful in non-media-related industries such as banking and finance, as well as in becoming a community arts worker.
