Finance and Accounting at Brunel is ranked 55th in UK and 4th in London (The Complete University Guide, 2019).
On this programme, you’ll gain a sound theoretical and practical grounding in finance and accounting giving you the technical expertise to make sound decisions in the field. You’ll learn about investments, corporate finance and econometrics. In your final year, you can choose between more specialised accounting and finance courses. Our emphasis on developing transferable skills means you’re prepared for a range of finance and accountancy careers. Your studies will include a module on econometrics to help you to develop the data modelling skills using computer programmes – a skill highly valued by finance and investment employers. If you decide to study professional accountancy after you graduate, our degrees offer some exemptions to ACCA and CIMA papers. As part of your studies, you also get training and access to industry analytical tools including SAS, Eviews, Bloomberg, Reuters and STATA. On a four year thick sandwich degree you will typically spend the whole of Year 3 on placement.
