Our undergraduate programmes are constantly evolving to meet the needs of an ever'changing business world. As an institution specialising in undergraduate business degrees, many of our academics and lecturers have worked in industry and continue to consult for corporate organisations, so you benefit from their first'hand knowledge and business experience. Students can choose from one of five degrees within the business management portfolio: BSc Business Management; BSc Business with Finance; BSc Business with Marketing; BSc Business Management, Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship; BSc International Business. We have designed the degrees to suit the fast'changing business environment in which you can expect to work once you graduate and to offer a range of pathways so that you can choose a degree which matches your interests and aspirations. At any time during the first one and a half years of the degree, you can switch to a different course wihin the portfolio, subject to the availability of places. Some restrictions may apply if you are spending the second year on a study abroad scheme. A key part of this degree is the opportunity to gain professional work experience or a period of study abroad.
Core modules, common to all the business management degrees, provide a solid grounding in the principles and practice of all fundamental aspects of business management. A choice of specialised electives is offered in years two and three to strengthen your knowledge and skills and to introduce you to the most recent trends and issues in their theory and practice. Third year electives cover a range of topics and are not restricted to the specialist areas represented by the individual degree pathways. In year three, you also have the opportunity to demonstrate your ability to pursue in'depth independent research and study on a business'related theme of your choice in the form of the final'year project. If you are studying BSc Business with Marketing, the final'year project theme must be related to a marketing subject.
