If you'd like to become an accountant, auditor, treasurer, company secretary or financial analyst, this degree is ideal.
This course is specifically designed to give you an advantage in the workplace. Today's employers are seeking graduates who are work-ready as well as academically qualified. That's why this course combines an accounting and finance degree with professional accreditations and a Business Readiness Programme. You'll also choose between undertaking a work or research placement, studying overseas or starting your own business. All these options are integrated within the three-year degree course.
We're one of only a few universities in the UK to have a real-time Bloomberg trading room, designed to give you the experience of working in a fast paced professional environment. You'll be given access to Thomson, Datastream, Hydra and Fame databases meaning you will have access to real-world data, gaining familiarity with the technology used in the financial workplace.
This course is accredited by the Association of Corporate Treasurers and offers exemptions from their professional exams. You'll also gain partial exemptions (credits for prior learning) to professional qualifications from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
