Course Introduction

Accounting and finance professionals play a vital role in today's economy. Our degree is for aspiring accountants wishing to build a successful career in the profession.

Why study BA Accounting and Finance at Middlesex University?

You will gain advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of accounting and finance and learn to understand management concepts within an international business context. BA Accounting and Finance is the ideal first step to becoming a qualified accountant. You can also choose to study Spanish or Mandarin as part of your degree, to ensure you stand out in a competitive job market.

Work placements are an invaluable opportunity to gain employability skills so we have introduced two options by which you can integrate into your time at Middlesex. Those who wish to do a placement can take either a 36 week sandwich placement in Year 3 as part of a 4 year degree or two 18 week summer placements allowing you to complete your degree within 3 years.

Course highlights

Our links with the UK's leading professional bodies, including the ACCA, ICAEW and CIMA ensure that, upon graduation, students receive a number of exemptions from professional exams

We cover the costs of students to join the ACCA's Accelerate and CIMA University schemes which gives graduating students associated membership of both bodies, offering further reductions in professional exam fees and access to professional body employability and academic resources, and networking
