Course Introduction

Do you want to combine exploring interactions between people and environmental systems with developing skills in business management? Drawing on expertise from the Schools of Geography, Biological and Chemical Sciences and Business and Management, this multidisciplinary degree programme allows you to explore a diverse range of topics. These range from evolution to climate change; environmental pollution to river science and management; business concerns such as economics, management, marketing and human resources; as well as environmental engineering and the geographies of science and nature. You will undertake core training in environmental research techniques, financial accounting and business strategy, as well as exciting fieldwork opportunities in the UK, the USA and New Zealand.*

Course Modules

We have a range of compulsory and optional modules available from the Schools of Geography, Business and Management and Biological and Chemical Sciences across all years of this degree programme, to help students establish a necessary grounding in the discipline. Second and third year teaching allows students to focus more as their interests develop, culminating in a third year independent research project that can be focused anywhere in the world.
