**About this course**
This two year course gives you the opportunity to develop practical coaching skills and the knowledge, skills and experience to begin a career in sport coaching. You’ll be able to learn through work experience at a number of amateur and professional clubs and hone your skills at a coaching placement. Using the latest equipment and analysis techniques, you’ll gain knowledge of biomechanical analysis of human movement and sporting activity. You’ll investigate how nutrition and psychology improve sporting performance.
You’ll gain in-depth knowledge of industry-standard analysis tools used in the coaching of athletes and teams. Although the course does not provide professional coaching qualifications, it provides the scientific knowledge to achieve qualification up to United Kingdom Coaching Certificate (UKCC) Level 3/4.
