Working while studying in the uk

There are a vast range of part-time jobs in London and many universities have work placement centres to help you find employment. You can choose from part-time or vacation work, as well as course-related work placements.

Most students on courses of more than 6 months are allowed to work part-time during term for up to 20 hours a week.

How do I find out if I am eligible to work in the UK while studying?
Before you look for a job in the UK, check your passport stamp or visa sticker which will tell you if you can work during your studies. If you have student immigration permission for employment, you can work up to 20 hours a week during term-time and full-time during your holidays, a work placement or an internship.
