Arriving in the UK you will find excellent transport links from all five London airports, facilitating easy access both into and out of the city. Before departure, download the Study London Map which shows you where all universities are located together with London's world famous attractions.

Study at the centre of the world
London is the gateway to the world with more flights and connections to worldwide destinations than any other city. Take advantage of London's high-speed train links to get to mainland Europe in just over two hours.

Studying in London you can also explore the rest of the UK with a multitude of train and coach journeys regularly departing from all over London.

Travelling in London
Getting around in London has never been easier or cheaper for students. Students can get an Oyster Card and obtain a discount of 30% on a variety of travel cards. For further information go to the Transport for London web site where you can also plan your journey around the city.

Once here, you can jump on the world famous 'tube' and head underground for the quickest and easiest way to get around. Or take in the streets of London with a trip on one of London's red double-decker buses and enjoy a classic London experience. For a special treat, why not hop into one of London's famous black cabs and travel in style or enjoy a conversation on any range of subjects with a London 'cabbie'.

If you want to see the sights, hit the streets and walk around central London. You'll be amazed at just how close together the sights and shops of London really are. Visit WalkIt.com to plan your routes ahead of your arrival.

"I love studying in London because London is the most international city in the world. You can enjoy many kinds of food from all over the world and you can even study international cooking.

From London it's easy to travel and explore the rest of the UK and Europe or, like me, you can cycle around the city and visit all the museums - my favourite is the Science Museum. As museums are free you can return and don't have to rush to see them all in one day."

Top Tip: Buy an Oyster card to travel - you get a student discount and you can use it on the over ground and Tube.
