Autism research prize

A researcher from Birkbeck, University of London has been named joint winner of this year's Neville Butler Prize.

Dr Mayada Elsabbagh received the award for her autism research at a ceremony at the House of Commons.

The Neville Butler Memorial Prize is awarded to promising researchers early in their career and whose work contributes to current knowledge.

Dr Elsabbagh’s work investigates genetic disorders and the ways in which genes, the brain and the environment interact with each other.
