Film documentary course

Queen Mary, University of London has created a ‘Specialist Factual Documentary in Practice’ module within the Film Studies MA.

The 12-week course will give students the skills to produce science, history and current affairs programmes.

Queen Mary has teamed up with production company Mandrake Films and will launch the course beginning in September 2010.

Student film-makers will receive specialist advice from academics and experienced, award-winning factual programme-makers.

At the end of the course, students will produce a short documentary show-reel for their portfolio, the best of which will be developed into longer documentaries by Mandrake Films.
