Athletes from St Mary's University College, Twickenham figured prominently at the recent SPAR European Cross Country Championships in Brussels.
A third of the Great Britain & Northern Ireland team were students from St Mary's. The team topped the medal table, winning an unprecedented 12 medals, including four gold.
Steph Twell, a sports scholar at St Mary's, ran impressively to win her third successive under 20 women's title.
St Mary's has worked in partnership with UK Athletics and the English Institute of Sport to establish a high performance programme, which ensures athletes are ready to compete at the highest levels of competition.
