Course Introduction

Conflict allows students to study the full spectrum of legal methods of solving disputes and managing conflicts, taking a broad view of conflict and law, and examining both the local, regional and international areas, including international tribunals and post'conflict reconciliation and reconstruction.

Course Modules

Access to justice and dispute resolution (special applications); alternative dispute resolution; international commercial and investment arbitration; justice, reconciliation and reconstruction in post conflict societies; law, human rights and peace'building (the Israeli'Palestinian case); procedural principles and ethical standards; EU law in global context; gender, armed conflict and international law; international laws on the use of force; law and policy of international courts and tribunals; the law of armed conflict; international criminal law; dissertation.
