Course Introduction

Designed primarily for existing healthcare practitioners, this degree covers non'invasive methods in cardiopulmonary exercise testing to accurately assess the performance of the heart and lungs of patients at rest and during exercise.

A distinctive and integral feature of the MSc is the focus on both in'depth practical experience and comprehensive, up'to'date knowledge. Students will study key concepts in leadership and management, as well as legal and ethical issues related to biomedical research and clinical practice. You will also gain a solid grounding in research methodologies required for biomedical research.

Our industry'experienced tutors place an emphasis on work'based experience and candidates are normally required to work in a cardiology non'invasive department.

Run by experienced practitioners, our specialist laboratory houses a wide range of diagnostic equipment, which you can access not only during classes, but also for independent study and research.
