Course Introduction
Designed primarily for existing healthcare practitioners, this degree covers non'invasive methods in cardiopulmonary exercise testing to accurately assess the performance of the heart and lungs of patients at rest and during exercise.
A distinctive and integral feature of the MSc is the focus on both in'depth practical experience and comprehensive, up'to'date knowledge. Students will study key concepts in leadership and management, as well as legal and ethical issues related to biomedical research and clinical practice. You will also gain a solid grounding in research methodologies required for biomedical research.
Our industry'experienced tutors place an emphasis on work'based experience and candidates are normally required to work in a cardiology non'invasive department.

Qualifications required:
- 2:2 (hons degree) or equivalent qualification in a Health or Science based subject. Applicants must normally be a clinical physiologist but those from other healthcare professions (e.g. registered nurse, clinical exercise physiologist, physiotherapist, sport and exercise scientists and medical practitioners) are also welcomed.
