Course Introduction

With the second wave of internet development as an integrated part of both the public and private sectors, there is greater realism and a recognition of the need to ensure that organisations implement effective management techniques.

This specialist course examines the issues and opportunities in the development of interactive digital media, particularly in relation to the internet. It analyses the role of digital media in different sectors and the wider issues of marketing and publishing. You will learn practical project management skills and develop the experience to manage interactive projects.

You will develop the skills needed to design a professional plan for a personal or business'related project, and will assess the risks related to that project. You will also review your approach and progress critically during the programme, and apply learning in the practical context of your project. You will be required to present your ideas clearly and effectively to your chosen audience. You may use the course to develop plans for assessing the potential for commercial projects or starting a small business.
