This course will prepare students for a research degree or career in the biomedical science field (e.g. a PhD, the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnical supply companies).
Core modules include: Research methods; critical appraisal; statistics; research project planning and management. Optional modules include: To support projects in infection, immunity and cancer; to support projects in cardiovascular sciences, reproduction, neuroscience and human genetics.

- You should normally have, or be expected to achieve, at least a minimum of a second class degree (2:2) in a biomedical science or a science related subject (or an equivalent overseas qualification). If you are invited for an interview you may be asked to write a short paper (no more than one page) on a subject associated with biomedical research as part of the application process. English language requirements: IELTS overall 6.5 with 6.0 in listening, 6.0 in reading, 6.0 in writing and 6.0 in speaking.
