Course Introduction

The course provides a strong foundation in British literature, beginning in the early modern period and moving through to contemporary writing. Alongside this chronological spine of the degree, you have the opportunity to explore literature from other parts of the world, across national traditions and historical periods. Whether modules are organised thematically or chronologically, you’ll be reading with staff and students who share your passion for the written word.
