Course Introduction

A good understanding of accounting and finance, and the environments in which they operate, is important for anyone working in, or wanting to enter, the accounting profession. This evening study degree, which is appropriate for students who are in full'time employment, is also relevant to careers in finance and management in a variety of settings. You will develop a range of transferable skills, including quantitative and decision'making skills, supervisory and management skills and perceptive abilities.

Course Modules

You take core and compulsory modules in Years 1'3 and choose option modules worth 15 credits in Year 2 and 60 credits in Year 3 (of which 30 credits must be taken in finance).

For your options, you can choose any modules offered by the Department of Management. In addition, certain modules offered by the Department of Economics, Mathematics and Statistics have also been approved.
