Special resources The University of West London offers unparalleled technical facilities, which have been developed constantly since 1993. No other institution offers such an enviable range of dedicated and experienced teaching staff, nor such high quality technical facilities and studios. Indeed, with seven professionally equipped studios, live rooms in which to record bands and ensembles, numerous smaller studios and programming suites fully loaded with the latest industry software, everything you need is here to satisfy the enquiring mind. Equally, our location in Ealing is very close to the vibrant music scene in London, providing unique opportunities for placements, work experience and networking. Because of the diversity of courses on offer at the University, you will have lots of opportunities to work with students in other disciplines. In fact, many of our students have been commissioned to work with others in fields such as pop music, film, video, fashion and photography. Student societies There are several societies you can join. For example, The Radio Society that runs student station Blast Radio. Or why not start your own society? Contact the Students' Union for further information. Electric Music Week Every May we hold a festival of electronic music, with concerts, events, installations and master classes. We encourage all our students to perform or help with organising events. School Summer Showcase Every summer we hold a graduation show in Ealing to showcase all our students' work. Again, there are many opportunities for Year One and Two students to take part in organising and running this important event. Student support You will have a personal tutor to support you throughout your course. We also understand how important your views are, and we recruit student representatives from all levels. We invite them to regular meetings to voice students' opinions and discuss important issues or concerns.
