Course Introduction

A unique multidisciplinary BA, in which you can study the art of writing fiction, poetry, non'fiction, drama, and screenwriting. The programme offers face'to'face evening study. You will be taught by practising, published, award'winning writers with a reputation for excellence in their field. You will have the unique opportunity to develop your skills as a writer while deepening your understanding of the demands and expectations of writing as a career. Offers you the chance to meet and liaise with top'level professionals from the publishing and performance industries. A varied and intensive programme of study in which you are mostly assessed on your creative coursework. You will be taught in small, interactive workshop groups. You will be eligible to submit work to the annual Birkbeck Creative Writing journal, The Mechanics' Institute Review.
