Course Introduction

This course will: introduce methods and findings from the emerging field of educational neuroscience; enable students from a variety of backgrounds to appraise and apply these findings; develop understanding of key issues in educational neuroscience and the application of neuroscience to education; develop your understanding of research processes and give you the opportunity to undertake research in educational neuroscience.

Course Modules

Modules include: Issues in educational neuroscience; cognitive development and learning; advanced quantitative methods; methods in neuroimaging; developmental cognitive science; genetics of development.

Course Additional Entry

An Honours degree (or equivalent) in psychology or a related discipline (eg, education, social science, cognitive science, speech/communication science, neuroscience); relevant professional experience is taken into consideration.
