Course Introduction

The course imparts a deeper understanding of the processes involved in learning to read, write and spell, the sources of difficulties, and approaches to intervention; it enables students to read research critically and to design and conduct their own small'scale research.

Course Modules

Modules include: Literacy development; reading and spelling difficulties; research methods in literacy; the production and comprehension of text.
