Course Introduction

The course: explores and critiques educational leadership and management theory, research and practice; reflects on and challenges a student's practice as an educational leader or manager; investigates how the intersections of policy and practice influence leaders and managers of schools, institutions and systems; examines how leaders and managers can improve the quality of teaching and learning; develops their understanding of how leaders and managers can nurture relationships with their communities; investigates how leaders and managers can address issues of race, gender and class within educational organisations to improve student outcomes; enables students to join a professional network with other participants from London and around the world.
