Course Introduction

The course: introduces students to ways of critically analysing education policy within a broad social, economic and political context; familiarises students with contemporary developments in education policy in institutional, local, national and global contexts; explores existing policy issues and practices; enables students to apply the insights provided to their own experiences.

Modules include: Justice: contemporary social issues and perspectives; understanding education policy; understanding education research.

Course Additional Entry

A 1st degree in sociology or a related area; either a teaching qualification or relevant professional experience.
