Course Introduction

It is essential in this time of creative ambiguity that we develop and empower the individual. Therefore, this entrepreneurial course will recruit ambitious envisioned designers to work on their creative expression through personal research, process development and informed professionalism. This course is delivered by informed menswear design professionals. The team provide a learning environment that is supportive, challenging and defined by students' application proposals in relation to either a projected or existing opportunity within menswear or the design related industries. Through self'directed and set projects they will generate original and contextualised ideas, technique and process that establishes them as influential and informed menswear design professional capable of working at the highest levels of the international menswear and design related industry. It is important that our students establish their aspirations within a global design context, in order to achieve a sustainable career path and influence fashion, where boundaries are constantly subject to social, economic and technological flux.

Course Additional Entry

We welcome applications from individuals with a 1st Class Honours or upper 2nd Class Honours degree in fashion, textiles and design related subject areas, or equivalent professional experience that demonstrates an equivalent knowledge and commitment to study as an Honours degree. Interview selection will be made on the strength of a virtual portfolio that evidences inspirational motivation and how this is developed through the process of designing. Based on the virtual portfolios we will invite selected applicants for interview who will be sent a project to include in their portfolio as a new body of work that identifies future direction.
