This course is designed to prepare you for a career in medical journalism, or to augment your medical career and to provide an intellectually stimulating and demanding course of study. The course is available to health professionals and others interested in a career in medical and health journalism. As well as developing effective writing skills and techniques, you will learn to use audio and video tools as part of writing for the web.
Course Additional Entry
You must have successfully completed a minimum of 2 pre'clinical years of your medical or dentistry degree and ideally have passed both years at the 1st attempt. Alternatively, you must have successfully completed 2 years of a 1st degree which qualifies you for work in the health professions, such as nursing, psychology, physiotherapy, speech therapy or pharmacy. You must possess above average standards of written and spoken English and have a minimum of Grade B at GCSE English.
