Research areas include: Cell biology, which focuses on the way cells adapt, survive and differentiate in response to physiological and pathophysiological stimuli. Diagnostics and Therapeutics, which focuses on the detection of disease & pathogens, genomics and epidemiology. The aim being to identify patients who may benefit ahead of a therapy, thereby improving cost and clinical effectiveness of drugs.
Course Additional Entry
A minimum classification of 2.1 in a first degree (or equivalent); and, preferably, a Masters degree (or Masters degree pending); and (if English is not your first language) Appropriate English Language qualifications (you will normally be required to achieve minimum IELTS scores of 6.5 or equivalent). You will also need to have the commitment and motivation to undertake a sustained programme of independent and self'directed study and training as a researcher.
