Our Biology research has an applied focus with real'world impact. Experienced and research'active staff work in close collaboration with the bio'industry, NHS and other research institutions within the UK, Europe and the US. Our interests include: Water Science. This aims to promote dynamic and proactive scientific study of water resources, engaging with the wider community to facilitate demand'led and evidence'based policy development for sustainable water management nationally and internationally. Cell biology: This focuses on the way cells adapt, survive and differentiate in response to physiological and pathophysiological stimuli. Patient centred therapeutics: Looking at drug development, disease detection and epidemiology.
Course Additional Entry
A minimum classification of 2.1 in a first degree (or equivalent); and, preferably; a Masters degree (or Masters degree pending); and (if English is not your first language) appropriate English Language qualifications (you will normally be required to achieve minimum IELTS scores of 6.5 or equivalent). You will also need to have the commitment and motivation to undertake a sustained programme of independent and self'directed study and training as a researcher.
