Course Introduction

Research within our Faculty of Science and Technology has an applied focus, with real'world impact. Experienced and research'active staff work in close collaboration with the bio'industry, NHS and other research institutions within the UK, Europe and the US. Our facilities at the Cavendish Campus are equipped with state of the art instrumentation. Our research in Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology fosters a multidisciplinary approach to support original research investigating mechanisms of cell communication. We run an active seminar series and comprise researchers interested in the way that cells adapt, survive and differentiate in response to physiological and pathophysiological stimuli.

Course Additional Entry

A minimum classification of 2.1 in a first degree (or equivalent); and, preferably, a Masters degree (or Masters degree pending); and (if English is not your first language) appropriate English Language qualifications (you will normally be required to achieve minimum IELTS scores of 6.5 or equivalent). You will also need to have the commitment and motivation to undertake a sustained programme of independent and self'directed study and training as a researcher.
