Course Introduction

The disciplines of History and of Politics and International Relations have always been closely intertwined. This programme offers an introduction to both disciplines and the benefits of combining two different but complimentary approaches to understanding the world around us. Royal Holloway's expertise in both disciplines is firmly established, and is particularly relevant in fields such as holocaust studies, terrorism, gender studies and non'western cultures. Encourages students to expand their knowledge across different cultures, religions and political spectrums to better understand the world in which we live today. Prepares students for a wide variety of potential careers, from academia and teaching to journalism, law, and politics. Provides the skills essential for future employment in think'tanks and both government and private consultancy.
