Specifically, the Centre has expertise and interests in: energy usage and renewable energy in buildings through the Centre for Efficient and Renewable Energy in Buildings (CEREB); alternative energy sources including: research and industrial experience in areas of IC engine performance development, design and dynamometer testing; an investigation into the effect of bio'diesel on the performance of a medium'speed DI turbocharged diesel engine installed in a trigenerator (CCHP) plant; numerical well'testing procedures and wavelet algorithms for reservoir monitoring and management; bio energy and energy recovery from waste.
Course Additional Entry
Applicants are expected to have a good Honours degree. If applicants have the equivalent of a lower 2nd or 3rd Class Honours they would also need a Postgraduate qualification at Master's level. Applicants will also be required to show proof of all of their qualifications. If English is not an applicant's 1st language they will be expected to prove their competency in English, showing an IELTS score of at least 7.0 at postgraduate level.
