University of the Arts London

Course Introduction

The course is offered in an extended full'time mode over 2 calendar years. This means that learning is timetabled over 80 weeks across 2 years. Students are expected to commit 30 hours per week to their studies, within which their taught input will normally be scheduled over 2 to 3 days. The course has been designed in this way to enable students to pursue their studies, whilst also undertaking part'time employment, internships or care responsibilities.

Course Modules

Modules include: Methodologies for architectural engagement (60 credits); innovating in architectural practice (120 credits); constructing in detail (20 credits).

Course Additional Entry

Applicants should have an upper 1st Class Honours degree, or equivalent, from an Architects Registration Board (ARB) prescribed course in architecture, and normally at least 1 year of relevant professional experience. For overseas applicants, a decision regarding the offer of a place on the course will be made on the basis of a portfolio review, undertaken by the selection team. All applicants will be required to provide referees, who will in turn be asked to complete a referee questionnaire. Applicants whose 1st language is not English must demonstrate their competence in English to IELTS Level 6.5 by the production of an IELTS Certificate or evidence of an equivalent level of achievement.
