The course introduces you to the complete project management process; from developing a business case to planning, scheduling and evaluating project outputs. The course will cover all aspects of engineering project management and is therefore suitable for engineering graduates wishing to develop a career in project management and non'engineers who are expected to manage projects in technology or engineering'related sectors.
Introduction to project management; procurement and commercial contract management; projects, organisation and innovation; financial management of engineering projects; quality project management in engineering; risk management and technology evaluation; research methods and professional development; MSc engineering project/dissertation.
Course Additional Entry
A 1st degree (2.2 or higher) in a relevant engineering subject such as mechanical, petroleum, chemical or electrical and electronic engineering; or a 1st degree (2.2 or higher) in a non'engineering subject with some practical experience in engineering project management; or a higher national diploma in a relevant subject such as those above with a minimum 3 years' post'qualification experience in an engineering or technology'related field; we are happy to consider other qualifications combined with appropriate experience that are equivalent to the amounts outlined above.
