Course Introduction

Innovative and creative organisations lie at the heart of delivering the recovery and growth required in times of recession. Learning to manage the resources needed for successful innovation of creative services and products will be key to the success of these organisations. The problem faced by designers is not necessarily producing novel products but how to bring them to market. Providing a robust understanding of the innovation process will help entrepreneurial designers to turn their ideas into reality.

Course Modules

Modules include: Design thinking; foresight and strategy; innovation management; entrepreneurship; intellectual property; collaborative project; strategy and planning; understanding business failure; individual project, dissertation, business plan or placement.

Course Additional Entry

Minimum of a lower 2nd Class Honours degree from a UK university or equivalent overseas qualification recognised by Loughborough University. English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each subtest (reading, listening, writing and speaking) or equivalent.
