Course Introduction

This innovative programme of study enables learners to actively engage in economic, social and environmental discussions as they affect corporations as global citizens. Drawing on the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals and the post'2015 development agenda, we examine and undertake action'orientated work relating to political representation, responsible investing, social enterprise, technology in developing country contexts, inequality, healthcare, education, food and energy security, water and globalisation. LSBU is an active participant in sustainability education; it is a founding member of the COPERNICUS Alliance (the European network of Higher Education Institutions for ESD),hosts ESD London (a United Nations University'IAS accredited Regional Centre of Expertise for Education for Sustainable Development) and is a signatory to the UN Principles of Responsible Management Education.
