Course Introduction

The course structure provides for increasing amounts of school'based work with a gradual progression to whole'class teaching, with responsibility for management and assessment of pupils increasing accordingly.

Course Additional Entry

UK degree grade 2.2 in the language you want to teach or equivalent, GCSE English grade C or above (or equivalent); GCSE maths grade C or above (or equivalent); QTS skills tests in literacy and numeracy. A valid Disclosure and Barring Service disclosure certificate and confirmation of fitness to teach (London Met health check). You will be advised to apply for these after an offer is made. If you do not have a degree in that language but hold an alternative degree at the required level, then you should be a native or near'native speaker. Applicant should also ideally have spent a significant amount of time in a country where the foreign language you intend to teach is spoken. Your spoken and written fluency is important and you will need to demonstrate this at your interview.
