The course is designed to enable students to develop their understanding of the role of the early years and the primary teacher within the broad field of education. There are opportunities to extend their knowledge, develop their classroom practice and examine the underlying principles and values that inform current debates around educational issues. Through evaluation and reflection students are supported in developing a clear understanding of the links between theory and practice.
