Course Introduction

This four year programme equips you with the essential skills you need to succeed in Higher Education, as well as providing you with a comprehensive understanding of every aspect of criminology. You will study a range of areas including knowledge of crime, explanations for why people break the law, the workings of the criminal justice and penal systems in the UK and abroad, and criminal investigation. You will be taught by members of teaching staff who are experts in their field, and our innovative teaching strategy puts you at the centre of the learning and teaching process, stimulating and encouraging your interest through involvement and participation. We have close links with the University of North Texas, and students have the opportunity to take part in a criminology trip to Texas during their studies.
