Course Introduction

This course includes a foundation year, which equips you with the skills necessary to succeed in Higher Education and introduces you to the wider social context of criminology through the Policy Making modules. Once you have successfully completed the foundation year, you will move onto the degree programme, where you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the nature and causes of crime and how the criminal justice system works in the UK and abroad. You will also have the opportunity to undertake voluntary work within the criminal justice system and allied fields to support your academic studies.
