Course Introduction

This programme is aimed at students who have successfully completed our Foundation Degree in Psychology for Education Professionals at Birkbeck and who would like to complete their studies to undergraduate level with a degree focusing on psychology and its application in educational contexts. Drawing on expertise within the Department of Psychological Sciences and under the guidance and supervision of an academic member of staff, you will study key issues in educational psychology and learning and memory, critically analyse a wide range of research, and produce an extended essay reviewing existing relevant specialist knowledge. In addition, and in collaboration with the Department of Organizational Psychology, you will be able to select option modules to reflect your individual interests from a range of options of particular relevance to those working with children and young people in a wide variety of educational establishments.
