The course will develop your basic capabilities and knowledge that are necessary to gain an understanding for careers in maritime operations and management. You will also develop skills suitable for taking leadership and management responsibility in a wide range of maritime activities.
Modules include: Maritime economics and finance; maritime law; maritime operations; maritime management; maritime technology; maritime environmental issues.
Course Additional Entry
Applicants should hold a lower 2nd Class Honours degree or the equivalent from an international institution in an appropriate discipline; or a Certificate of Competence as Master or Chief Engineer: Class 1 Master Mariner or Class 1 Engineer together with experience in one of these roles. Alternatively, substantial marine industry experience in positions of responsibility may be considered. Students whose 1st language is not English will require an IELTS score of 6.5 overall.
